1. Delineation of site-specific management zones based on soil apparent electrical conductivity (ECa) measurement combining traditional soil sampling methodSite-specific management requires the identification of treatment areas based on homogeneous characteristics. The designation of subfield regions is challenging because of complex correlations appearing in spatial variability of soil properties and nutrient concentrations. The research was conducted on two neighbouring fields (48 ha and 15 ha) in Fejér county, Hungary. Soil ECa mapping was carried out on 22 October, 2019 and soil samples were taken on 15 November, 2019.... I.M. Kulmany, V. Vona, M. Vona, L. Szekeres, L. Bede, G. Milics, B. Kovacs |
2. Sequencing integrated soil fertility management options for improved crop productivity and nutrient use efficiency on sandy soilsMaintaining high use efficiency of nutrient resources available to farmers is key to sustainable intensification of African smallholder farms. Multi-locational on-farm experiments were conducted on degraded sandy soils (< 10 % clay) in eastern Zimbabwe over 4 cropping seasons to evaluate different manure-, fertilizer- and legume-based integrated soil fertility management (ISFM) options with respect to maize productivity and, fertilizer nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) use efficiency.... 3. A Time Series Investigation to Assess Climate Change and Anthropogenic Impacts on the Degradation of Nile Delta, Egypt.Land degradation risk, status and rate in Nile Delta, Egypt were assessed for a time series using remote sensing data over the past five decades using TM, ETM and OLI. Quantitative deterioration of the area was produced based on the comparative study approach in the integrated weighted sum, weighted overlay and fuzzy model. Where degradation factors were compiled in a raster and each data set scored on a 1 to 5 (very low, low, moderate, high and very high scale). The data sets were then weighted... B. Abdellatif, M.R. 4. Fine-tuning Specialty Fertilization Strategies to Local Wheat Production Through On-farm Experimentation in NigeriaWheat specialty fertilizer validation trial was conducted in 8 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Kano State, Nigeria on farmers field. The specialty fertilizer validation project is implemented to improve the productivity and profitability of small-scale wheat smallholder farmers. Four treatments - absolute control (AC), local control (LC), OCP1 and OCP2 were replicated four times in a RCBD on a plot of 25m2. The AC was based on the indigenous nutrient supply from the soil (no application... V. Aduramigba-modupe, J.M. Jibrin, . Olabanji, B. Lawan, D. Madukwe |
